JCR President and Ents President elections

Nominations for both positions close 5pm Thursday 23rd, so get busy if you haven’t got yours in yet! Remember, candidates for all roles can be any JCR members regardless of year, or whether you’ve held any committee position before.

The candidates and their manifestos will be announced on Friday before the open meeting and hustings at 6:45pm on Sunday 26th Jan in the Terrace Room. Please come along and have your say!

Voting will be open 9am-6pm on Monday 27th, through the online voting system.

If you want to run for a position, here are the details (via Kerry):

TALK: please chat to Davina/Dan/Daisy/me about running to check you want to do the job.

NOMINATIONS: please leave a piece of paper with the information as on the attached document in my pigeon hole. None of the people mentioned above can nominate or second you.

MANIFESTOS: 200 words max. Deadline Friday 5pm.

CANVASSSING: no canvassing before nominations close. Candidates are allowed A5 or smaller mail shots of each ugrad pigeon hole. An A4 or smaller poster may be put on the JCR noticeboard but no posters may be on the plodge noticeboard. No limit on posters in staircases. Candidates may not advertise their candidacy via social media or email.

HUSTINGS: speeches of 3 mins max followed by open questions.
