Tim Boyd – (Natural Sciences, 3rd Year)
FROM: I’m from Newton Abbot in Devon, it is near Exeter.
SCHOOL SUBJECTS: Chemistry, Maths and Physics. I also did an extended project on Bohr’s atomic model and an AS in Biology
Why Natural Sciences?
I chose to do natural science as I knew I wanted to learn more about science, but wasn’t really sure which science I wanted to do, so choose a course which would give me a while before I had to make any decisions.
What advice would you give prospective students?
Just apply, what do you have to lose.
Any specific interview advice?
Don’t worry if you don’t know the answer, you probably aren’t meant to, they just want to see how you think/ what it is like to teach you.
Has Trinity Hall lived up to your expectations?
Tit hall has lived up to my expectations, from supervisions to welfare all is great
What do you do when you’re not working?
When not working, I play squash on the college squash courts (free squash courts are great!), am co-president of CHaOS a student run science outreach society and the college socials, amongst other things.
What’s your favourite thing about Trinity Hall/Cambridge?
My favourite thing about tit hall has to be Tit wall, a wall in college beside the river where it is great to just sit and chat with friends.
